This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.

1. What’s the longest time you’ve gone without reading?

I was a really big reader when I was a child. But from the ages of 11 till I was around 15 I barely read any books, aside from those that I had to read as assigned reading for school. Those four years I got into anime and gaming, reading just wasn’t something I was interested in at that time. (Though I did read some manga here and there as well, but I’m not really counting that.) That was definitely the longest time that I have gone without reading in my life.

Now I go without reading for a week or two at the most. That’s only when I’m too busy with university (or life in general) or I just don’t feel like reading.

2. How do you arrange your bookshelves? And if you don’t have proper bookshelves, what would your dream shelves look like?

I currently only have one bookshelf that’s waaaay too packed. I have to double-stack quiet a few books. So I’m not really able to arrange all the books the way I want to. (That’s the down side of living in a dorm room and not having the space.) There are some ways that I usually arrange my shelves and that’s the way I tried to do it with my current one as well:

  • Books by the same author next to each other. I just like having them all in one place and when I’m looking for some books it’s easier to find. Plus it means that all my series are nicely organised and together.
  • By genre. I just like my books to be organised that way. I keep all my fantasy and science fiction books near each other. The same goes with my mystery books, classics and the few contemporaries that I own.

3. Is there an extreme sport (i.e. skydiving, snowboarding, gliding) you like to do or would like to do?

There isn’t an extreme sport that I have ever done. I probably should never do one either, since I’m rather clumsy and have a feeling that I would hurt myself very easily. The one I’m most likely to do is skydiving, probably because I would love to jump out of a plane and feel the fall. Though there is the fact that I’m kind of afraid of heights, so I honestly have no idea why this one is the most interesting one to me!

I nominate:

(As always, if you don’t feel like doing this award feel free to ignore it. No pressure!)

My questions:

  1. What are some of your favourite TV shows and why do you love them?
  2. What makes you start reading a book and what makes you stop?
  3. If you won the lottery what’s the first thing you’d do with your winnings?

How do you organise your shelves? Is there an extreme sport that you would like to do? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

  1. Congratulations on the award, Anna! 😊
Interesting that you would want to go skydiving even though you’re scared of heights… I would die! Hahaha
Great answers, though, and thanks for tagging me ❤️ I already did this one but I appreciate you thinking of me!

  2. Congratulations on the award, Anna! ❤ ❤ This is quite weird that you want to go skydiving aha…I'm not that afraid ot heights but I think I'd freak, so…I can't imagine wanting to do that while you're afraid of heights… but well, the heart wants what it wants, ahah 😛
At the moment, my shelves are kind of rainbow-y looking…which makes finding a book super hard, but it's pretty, hahahaha.

    1. Thank you Marie!! ❤ ❤ I honestly have no idea why skydiving is the one that I'm most attracted to! I would definitely chicken out if I was going on my own, but if I had at least one friend with me I would end up doing it. Not sure what that says about me! 😛 Hahahaha, that's true!!
Rainbow shelves are beyond beautiful! ❤ I just can't really do them, when there is no actual order in my shelves it starts really bothering me. Haha, I can imagine how hard it must be to find books!

  3. Great answers for this tag Anna! 😀 ❤
I can't imagine not reading for that long (although to be honest I probably did have a long period where I didn't pick up any books in between reading Harry Potter as a child and Twilight as a teen). Now I can't imagine my life without reading. 🙂
Also I can't imagine only having one bookshelf. I have so many and I now need more because I have too many books. Unfortunately I've been forbidden from actually buying more. 😦 I don't really have a set system like you do, other than making sure my series are next to each other. It's just wherever they all fit.
    Again great answers. 🙂 ❤

    1. Thank you Beth! ❤ 😀
I can't imagine it now either! Reading has become such a big part of my life that even not reading for a month or two seems impossible. Many people had these phases when they didn't read, I think that's just natural – loosing interest in a hobby that is.
Well, I do have two – one in my dorm room and one in my hometown. But the one in my hometown is together with my moms books, so the organisation is not up to me and that's why I'm not really counting it. Ahhh, it's too bad that you have been forbidden from buying more books! 😦 Hahaha, I can imagine with how many books you own. I just need a set system, otherwise it starts really bothering me! 😀
      Thank you! ❤

      1. That’s all right, and yeah thinking of it there are a few hobbies I seem to lose interest in for a while before going back to them. Reading just seems to be one that’s stuck it out more than any other. 🙂
Ahh, see two is a little better than one but personally still not enough, and yeah I can see why you didn’t count it as well. 🙂
I tend to change things around on my bookshelves a lot. Every so often I need to refresh my bookshelves and actually I’m feeling that need now! 😀 ❤️

        1. I don’t think that I will ever stop reading books. I simply can’t imagine my life without it anymore! 😀
Haha, just two days ago I had to rearrange my shelf, as books just kept piling up and breaking my order. I love reorganising my shelf, for some reason I find that to be therapeutic!

  4. Haha I can relate so much to what you said about the desire to skydive but also having a fear of heights. My fear of heights is hands down my number one phobia and yet I’ve always wanted to go skydiving (though I don’t know if I’d ever be brave enough, honestly). 😛
