The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury is one of the best books that I have ever read. It’s also one of the uniquest ones as well. This book is an Aladdin retelling and it’s the only book that I have read that retells that story.
Everything in this story felt fresh and new. From the characters to the setting and magic. Everything about this book was amazing! It’s definitely a retelling that I didn’t know I needed until I actually read this book. The Forbidden Wish is a book that I recommend the most, more people NEED to read it!
I have a full review for this book, if you are interested in more of my thoughts on it.
The first book that came to my mind was Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. The Six of Crows duology, as you may know, is one of my all time favourite series
(books…however you want to see it). I adore all six main characters of these books, they are simply wonderful!
The ending to this story blew me away. I really didn’t think it would end the way it did. I can’t really say anything more about that, as I don’t want to spoil anything for this book. Go read it for yourself and you will know what I mean!
I have a full review for both books in this duology, if you are interested in more of my thoughts:
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is just one of those books that I find warm and cozy. I just love the story, the setting and time period, the characters. I find everything about this book to be wonderful.
This is a book that I really enjoy rereading during the winter or late autumn. I just feel as if this book fits the darker and colder evenings. I love reading it while drinking a hot chocolate while snuggling in a warm blanket.
Pride and Prejudice is one of my favourite classics. I love Jane Austen novels
(I have only one by her left to read) and this one is definitely my favourite. If you are curious my second favourite is Persuasion.
The first one that came to my mind when I read this question was Legend by Marie Lu, or rather the whole Legend trilogy. Marie Lu’s writing style fits perfectly for the non-stop action category. I feel as if her books read like movies
(if you call it that).
(These are the only books by Marie Lu that I have read so far. Though I plan on reading more by her.)
You know me, I can’t just choose one book!
