I was tagged by the lovely Emily Rose @Rose Read to do this tag. Thank you once more! ❤ 🙂 Be sure to check out her blog!
1. What’s the most beautiful cover on your shelf?
I have a lot of beautiful books on my shelf, so picking just one cover is impossible!
(Or you know me, I can never just pick one book when it comes to questions like these.) Here are some of my most beautiful ones:
2. If you could bring any fictional character to life, who would it be?
The first character that came to my mind was Annabeth Chase
(obviously from Percy Jackson), so I’m going with her. I love Annabeth and I have a feeling we would get along very well, plus we both love architecture so there is that as well. I would love to hang out with her and simply spend some time with her.
3. If you could interview an author, who would you choose?
I would either choose Victoria Schwab or Leigh Bardugo. They are two of my all time favourite authors and I would love to interview either/ both of them. I don’t think that this answer surprises any of you!
4. What’s a book you would not read again?
There are actually quiet a lot of books that I would never read again. I do love rereading from time to time, but only my favourite books. So there are many that I would not read again. Here are some books that I didn’t like and would never read again:
5. Can you name a confusing story?
The first story that came to my mind was Pretty Deadly Vol. 1 by Kelly Sue DeConnick and illustrated by Emma Ríos. This is a graphic novel that I picked up a few years ago, since the synopsis intrigued me:
Death’s daughter rides the wind on a horse made of smoke and her face bears the skull marks of her father. Her origin story is a tale of retribution as beautifully lush as it is unflinchingly savage.
The art style of this graphic novel is stunning! The story I found to be confusing. Most of the time I had no idea what was happening or where the story was going.
(I just found so many confusing little elements within this story.)
6. Favourite fictional couple?
Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
(One of my all time favourites.)
7. Two favourite villains?
My first favourite is from The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. Major Prentiss is seriously scary and creepy! He freaked me out sooo much when I was reading those book. He is definitely one of the best written villains ever! My second favourite is from The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Obviously, if you know me at all, it’s the Darkling. I just love him, he is one of my all time favourite characters!
8. A character you would kill, or remove from a book entirely?
That would be, without a doubt, Dolores Umbridge. She is my most hated character EVER! I hated her from her fist moment she appeared in the books to her last. She is seriously one of the worst literary characters ever. I can’t even describe how much I hate her! I would definitely kill her
(or remove her from the book).
9. If you could live in a fictional world, where would you choose?
Definitely Middle Earth! It just seems like a beautiful world to live in.
(Assuming no war is happening at the time there.)
10. What are the biggest and smallest books on your shelf?
The biggest books on my shelves are the first two illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books and Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods.
(All three of them are massive and around the same size.) The smallest book that is on my shelf is definitely The Ocean at the End of the Lane, I own a tiny edition of it. (It was seriously a pain to read from it, since the writing was tiny.)
