The Literary Questions Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Emily Rose @Rose Read to do this tag. Thank you once more! ❤ 🙂 Be sure to check out her blog!

1. What’s the most beautiful cover on your shelf?

I have a lot of beautiful books on my shelf, so picking just one cover is impossible! (Or you know me, I can never just pick one book when it comes to questions like these.) Here are some of my most beautiful ones:

2. If you could bring any fictional character to life, who would it be?

The first character that came to my mind was Annabeth Chase (obviously from Percy Jackson), so I’m going with her. I love Annabeth and I have a feeling we would get along very well, plus we both love architecture so there is that as well. I would love to hang out with her and simply spend some time with her.

Percy Jackson

3. If you could interview an author, who would you choose?

I would either choose Victoria Schwab or Leigh Bardugo. They are two of my all time favourite authors and I would love to interview either/ both of them. I don’t think that this answer surprises any of you!

4. What’s a book you would not read again?

There are actually quiet a lot of books that I would never read again. I do love rereading from time to time, but only my favourite books. So there are many that I would not read again. Here are some books that I didn’t like and would never read again:

5. Can you name a confusing story?

Pretty DeadlyThe first story that came to my mind was Pretty Deadly Vol. 1 by Kelly Sue DeConnick and illustrated by Emma Ríos. This is a graphic novel that I picked up a few years ago, since the synopsis intrigued me:

Death’s daughter rides the wind on a horse made of smoke and her face bears the skull marks of her father. Her origin story is a tale of retribution as beautifully lush as it is unflinchingly savage.

The art style of this graphic novel is stunning! The story I found to be confusing. Most of the time I had no idea what was happening or where the story was going. (I just found so many confusing little elements within this story.)

6. Favourite fictional couple?

Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. (One of my all time favourites.)

7. Two favourite villains?

My first favourite is from The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness. Major Prentiss is seriously scary and creepy! He freaked me out sooo much when I was reading those book. He is definitely one of the best written villains ever! My second favourite is from The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Obviously, if you know me at all, it’s the Darkling. I just love him, he is one of my all time favourite characters!

8. A character you would kill, or remove from a book entirely?

That would be, without a doubt, Dolores Umbridge. She is my most hated character EVER! I hated her from her fist moment she appeared in the books to her last. She is seriously one of the worst literary characters ever. I can’t even describe how much I hate her! I would definitely kill her (or remove her from the book).

9. If you could live in a fictional world, where would you choose?

Definitely Middle Earth! It just seems like a beautiful world to live in. (Assuming no war is happening at the time there.)

10. What are the biggest and smallest books on your shelf?

The biggest books on my shelves are the first two illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books and Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods. (All three of them are massive and around the same size.) The smallest book that is on my shelf is definitely The Ocean at the End of the Lane, I own a tiny edition of it. (It was seriously a pain to read from it, since the writing was tiny.)

I tag EVERYONE who feels like doing this tag!

Whats the biggest and smallest book that you own? Who are your two favourite villains? Which author would you love to interview? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

  1. Those are definitely some gorgeous covers Anna! ❤😍
If you ever interviewed Schwab or Bardugo that would be so amazing I’d definitely be reading it!
Volume 1 of Pretty Deadly was definitely very confusing and I agree I felt the art style made it more so. However, I kind of think I understood it by the end. At least o like to think so, haha!
And I HAVE to agree that the Darkling is awesome and I would help you destroy Umbridge I don’t think I have ever hated a character so much!
This seems like a fun tag Anna I might have to give it a go here! 😁

    1. They definitely are! ❤😍
Haha, I don’t think that is ever going to happen but it would definitely be exiting! (Though I have no idea what I would even ask them.)
I kind of understood Pretty Deadly Vol. 1 by the end as well, I just needed to go back a few times to get the whole story. (Or what I think is the whole story.)
The Darkling is amazing, he is definitely one of my favourite characters! ❤ Umbridge is seriously the worst. And it's the same for me, I have never hated a character that much either!
YES, I WILL BRING YOU WITH ME! We would have so many amazing adventures! 😀
It was a really fun tag and I definitely recommend doing it!

  2. Epic answers, Anna!
First of all, love love all those covers. And Annabeth for the absolute win! She’s kind of my spirit animal sometimes so I’d totally love having her around 🙂
And two of my favorite authors – would be awesome to interview them for sure! Or just stare at them in adoration, whatever happens first hahaha
That’s too bad you didn’t like Cruel Beauty. I actually did quite a lot, but I do admit it was a strange, strange little book.
Again, totally agree on the Darkling and Umbridge. Ugh, just wish I could stab her repeatedly!
    Awesome tag 🙂 ❤

They are all really gorgeous! Annabeth would definitely be amazing to have around. She is super smart (obviously) and I have a feeling being friends with her would be awesome. 😀
Hahaha, staring at them in adoration would probably happen first! I would literary have no idea what to ask them.
I’m glad that you enjoyed Cruel Beauty, I guess that book just wasn’t for me.
Umbridge is seriously the worst! I don’t think I have ever hated a character as much as I hate her.
      Thank you!! 🙂 ❤

I'm glad to hear you didn't fall in love with Cruel Beauty. IT was an entertaining story overall, but… could have been better :/

The cover for The Star-Touched Queen is one of the most gorgeous ones that I have ever seen. I adore everything about it. I would definitely recommend you that book, I LOVED it! ❤
Yeah, I feel as if everything about Cruel Beauty could have been better. I found it lacking in many aspects, though it was entertaining from time to time. :/

Same here – I liked the story overall, but something was missing :/ Did you read the rest of the series, or are you going to?
