My Auto-Buy Fantasy Authors || Top Five Wednesday

Feature

Top Five Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Lainey @GingerReadsLainey and she has passed down the torch to Sam @ThoughtsOnTomes. For more information and for future topics you can check out the goodreads group.

Since fantasy is my all time favourite genre I knew that I had to do this weeks Top Five Wednesday topic. These are all authors whose works I adore, even if I haven’t read all of their work yet. (I do own many of their books though, even if some are still unread.) I actually struggled a bit with narrowing it down to just five of them, but in the end I somehow managed.

Anyway, there is nothing much to add to this short intro – lets just get into my auto-buy fantasy authors!

5. Scott Lynch

I have only read The Lies of Locke Lamora by him so far, but that turned out to be my all time favourite fantasy book! I own the other two books in the series already and I can’t wait to continue reading it. (The Thorn of Emberlain is not out yet, I just wanted to use it since it looks prettier that way.)

4. Neil Gaiman

I adore Neil Gaiman’s work, and his ability to create magical worlds and characters. I want to read everything that he has ever written, so him being on my list should come as no surprise!

3. Rick Riordan

I have loved everything that I have read by Rick Riordan so far and I know that I will continue loving his books in the future. I actually never read any of his synopsises – I just get the book when it comes out. (I own nearly all the books he has released so far.)

2. Victoria Schwab

Victoria Schwab is one of my all time favourite authors, I have simply loved everything that I have read so far by her. (Particularly Vicious!!) I plan on buying all the books she releases, all of her books interest me in one way or another.

1. Leigh Bardugo

And of course the queen, Leigh Bardugo, is on the first place. She is also one of my all time favourite authors and one whose books I will always get my hands on. I will read anything she writes, no matter the story, genre or anything else.

What are some of your Auto-Buy Fantasy authors? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

  1. Nice selection! I’ve got The Lies of Locke Lamora on my TBR list for this year (I’d started it and was really enjoying it a while back but somehow got sidetracked from it, so I’ll probably just go ahead and restart it altogether whenever I do get back to it.)
I’ve heard so many great things about Victoria Schwab’s books. Definitely want to check out that author some time!) 🙂
And yeeeesssssssss! Always happy to see Leigh Bardugo getting some major love. I adore her writing. She’s an auto-buy for me, too. 😀

  3. I adore Neil Gaiman and he is on my auto-buy list too. I keep seeing lots of positive things about Rick Riordan, V.E Schwab and Leigh Bardugo but I’ve yet to read anything of theirs! I’m thinking I should bump them up the list.
