I was tagged by the lovely Aria @Snow White Hates Apples to do this tag. Thank you once more! ❤ 🙂 Be sure to check out Aria’s blogs! You are missing out if you aren’t following her!
I’m super late with doing this tag, as per usual. I have so many tags and awards that I have been tagged/nominated for. Tags are something that I’m always going to be late for, I seriously don’t see that changing in the near future. Anyway, I’m not tagging anyone specific for this tag but if you feel like answering these questions consider yourself tagged by me! 😀
Spoiler warning: One Piece character death mentioned in question 11

1. ODIN – FAVOURITE STANDALONE
Odin is the All-Father, the leader of the Norse Gods. He is the god of wisdom, poetry, battle, death, wine, and war, among other things.
My all time favourite standalone is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Or rather one of them, as I have a few standalones that I would consider to be my favourites. I decided to go with The Night Circus as it is a book that means a lot to me. I read it at the perfect time and I was completely absorbed by it. Even though I have read it years ago it’s a book that I still think about. I plan on rereading The Night Circus soon, it’s been too long since I have been in this wonderful world!
2. THOR – A BOOK THAT HITS YOU IN THE FEELS
Thor is the god of thunder, weather, warriors, strength, and storms, so his might packs a punch. He is married to the beautiful Lady Sif.
I was debating how to answer this question. I didn’t know if I wanted to go with a book that broke my heart one that I found heartwarming. In the end I decided to go with the heartwarming option. Therefore I picked Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. I completely adore this book and I have reread it multiple times. The characters and the story simply warm my heart, which is why I have reread it as many times as I have.
3. LOKI – BIGGEST BOOK PLOT TWIST OR CHARACTER BETRAYAL
Loki is the god of mischief, thieves and thrives on chaos.
I don’t actually have an answer for this question. There are many amazing plot twists out there but I honestly don’t know which one was the biggest one? I also don’t want to spoil anything and I can’t answer this question without doing that. So I shall leave it at this, sorry!
(I just don’t feel comfortable mentioning books with huge plot twists or character betrayals.)
4. FRIGG – OTP
Frigg is Odin’s wife, the goddess of love, marriage, fertility, and fate.
I don’t have one all time favourite OTP. There are many fictional couples that I adore. I decided to go with a bit of a strange answer for this question.
(Strange in the sense that it’s a non-bookish couple.) I picked Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from Tangled. Recently I re-watched this movie, which is why this couple is fresh on my mind. I adore both of them and their interactions were wonderful to watch! In general, Tangled is such an amazing movie.
5. HEIMDALL – FAVOURITE SECOND BOOK IN A SERIES
Heimdall is the god of loyalty, faithfulness and he is who protects the bi-frost, the bridge that connects all nine worlds.
6. BALDUR – FAVOURITE MALE CHARACTER
Baldur is the beloved son of Odin and Frigg, twin brother of Hodor.
This might be a cliche answer? But I would be lying if I didn’t say Harry Potter. Ever since I fist read the Harry Potter series I loved Harry as a character. He is my favourite from the entire series
(I think I have mentioned that on my blog before?) and that means something, as there are many amazing characters in the Harry Potter world. Seeing as Harry Potter is my all time series, it’s only logical that Harry Potter would be my favourite male character. 😉
7. SIF – MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK COVER
Lady Sif is known for her beautiful golden tresses, although she is also the goddess of the harvest and is married to Thor.
8. FREY – BOOK/SERIES THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY
Frey is the Lord of weather, god of light, summer, master of agriculture, fertility, and brother of Freya.
The first book, or rather series, that came to my mind was Harry Potter. But I decided to go with something different. The book that makes me very happy is Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones.
(I know that it’s a series, but I haven’t read the other books yet.) There is just something so cozy about this book and it’s story. I first fell in love with the movie and then read this book. While the stories are slightly different I still love both. This story just makes me so happy!
9. FREYA – FAVOURITE BOOK SETTING
Freya is the goddess of love and beauty, fertility, war, wealth and growth, and sister of Frey.
I love fantasy stories set in magical and dark woods. There is just something so fascinating and captivating about that setting for me. An example of that type of setting can be found in Uprooted by Naomi Novik. I haven’t read nearly enough books with similar settings, but I definitely plan on changing that in the future! There are many other settings I love, this is just the first one that came to my mind.
10, TYR – FAVOURITE BOOK WITH A BIG UPHEAVAL/EPIC FIGHT SCENE
Tyr is the god of war.
The first book that actually came to my mind was The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien. It’s probably due to the fact that I have recently rewatched some scenes from The Lord of the Rings movies, so the story is fresh in my mind. It’s been a long time since I have read this book, so my memories of the fight scenes are a bit fuzzy. But, as I already mentioned, I watched the movie version of it recently which is why I decided to choose it.
(Plus I really didn’t want to overthink this question.)
11. ULLER – CHARACTER DEATH THAT AFFECTED YOU THE MOST
Uller is the god of death, winter, archery and hunting.
This question I have to answer with a manga character death. Though there are many book character deaths that affected me, the one that stands out the most to me is the death of one of my favourite character from the One Piece manga/anime. That character being Portgas D. Ace. It’s been literary years since his death and I still haven’t gotten over it! Even now when I’m watching One Piece and they mention Ace in some context I get very emotional. I couldn’t pick any other character for this question.
12. NJORD – FAVOURITE BOOK AN EPIC JOURNEY ON WATER/OCEAN SETTING
Njord is the god of the wind and the sea.
The first book that came to my mind when I read this question was Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch. This is the second book in the Gentlemen Bastards series. I’m currently reading this book, which is why I thought of it first. I’m nearly done with this book though and I have adored it so far
(and I don’t think that is going to change). This book has pirates in it and the main characters learn about boats and sailing. They also end up sailing for a portion of the story, which is why this book fits this category perfectly.
13. VALKYRIE – FAVOURITE STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER
The Valkyries, much like the Amazons, are strong female warriors.
A new favourite character of mine is Evelyn Hugo from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Evelyn is such a fascinating character who I loved learning more about throughout the story. She has faced many hardships and she has managed to overcome so much during her life. Evelyn is a flawed character, who you couldn’t help but feel for. I can’t praise this character enough. Evelyn Hugo is simply an inspiration!
14. AESIR/VANIR – FAVOURITE BOOK “CREW”
The Aesir and the Vanir are the two groups of Norse gods, believed to be the old and new gods.
The Dregs from the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo. As soon as I read the word “crew” I immediately thought of them. They just fit this question perfectly!
15. SEIPYRTS – FAVOURITE SIDEKICK (NON-HUMAN CHARACTER)
Seipyrts is Odin’s trusty eight legged steed, yes you heard that correctly – eight legs. I promise that he is the god’s horse companion and not a giant spider that he rides around on… although that would probably strike more fear in the hearts of his enemies than a pretty horse does.
The first character that came to my mind was Iko from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Iko is an android and she appears for the first time in Cinder. I find Iko to be a very fascinating character and she was an amazing sidekick to Cinder. She has a wonderful personality and she continues being amazing throughout the story. Iko’s and Cinder’s friendship is wonderful as well! I seriously need to read Winter soon, I can’t wait to see how the story will wrap up.
