Random Things About Me! || One Lovely Blog Award [#3]

Seven facts about me:

1. I rarely, almost never, watch movies.

When I’m picking something to watch I always choose tv shows or anime. Movies don’t even come to my mind, even though there are many that I’m interested in checking out. I just never feel motivated to watch a movie on my own. Probably because they are a lot longer than one episode of a tv show or anime? But honestly I don’t know the exact reason. I don’t go to the cinema either, because it’s expensive and I don’t want to “waste” money on it.

2. I sometimes listen to classical music while studying.

There are times when my brain wanders while I’m studying. It just feels like I can’t concentrate properly. When I’m feeling that way listening to classical music helps me. I don’t know why that is actually? Anyway, when I decide to listen to classical music and study at the same time I look up 2 hour long videos on youtube with music specifically curated for studying. (I did this today, which is why I decided to pick it as one of the facts.)

3. I have never met an author, nor have I ever been to a bookish event.

This is something that I have definitely mentioned on my blog before. I just don’t live in a country where authors that I read come and visit. The struggle of living in a non-English speaking country. I have also never been to a bookish event, as there aren’t any near me that I’m interested in (out of the ones I know about). Plus there is the fact that I don’t have bookish friends in real life and I wouldn’t want to go to events alone. (By that I mean big events, conventions and stuff like that.)


4. I love to dance.

Dancing is something that I have loved ever since I was little. When I was very young (like 9 or a bit younger?) I was a part of a dance team and we even performed a few times, which I still remember. The only reason I stopped was because the dance group that my team was part of disbanded. That was basically all the dance classes that I ever took. Despite that I continued dancing throughout the years (on my own obviously). When I’m feeling stressed or anything like that I just need to turn on the music and dance and I end up feeling a lot better!

5. I love colouring books.

I’m so happy that adult colouring books exist! Ever since I was little I adored colouring books. I vividly remember each year that my family went to Croatia I would get a new colouring book and then I would spend the entire time I was there colouring it. (Obviously when I wasn’t swimming or being on the beach.) So when I discovered adult colouring books a while ago I was beyond thrilled. I just find colouring books to be relaxing and therapeutic!

6. I adore bullet journaling.

Last year in December I started bullet journaling. It was a random decision that has changed my life for the better! My bullet journal isn’t too artistic or special, it’s just a place where I can keep track of the things I need to do. I love making to-do lists, so having a dedicated place for it feels amazing. My list of unread books and ARCs has also place in my bullet journal. I also have a page (beside the calendar one) where I write down all the books I read, things I watched, games I played. My bullet journal gives me a good overview of my life and that pleases me a lot!

7. I love going on walks.

This is a recent development for me. I started going on regular walks this month and I have completely loved the experience. I just want to get fitter, which is why I have decided to implement walking into my daily routine (I exercise as well, but that is beside the point). Just leaving my room regularly and walking around has been great for my mental health. I also caved and bought myself Spotify Premium, so now I can also listen to music while I’m walking. (Currently I’m mainly listening to BTS, but that isn’t anything surprising.)

    I love to walk too! Isn’t it just so therapeutic? I find it, I’ve been doing it more often at work too! 🙂

      Walks are seriously therapeutic! I'm so happy that I decided to implement them in my schedule. 🙂 Dancing is amazing and so much fun. I agree, it's also very stress relieving.

  2. Lovely post, Anna!! ❤ I love dancing too, though I'm awful at it! Haha! I've only ever been to one bookish event. I'm hoping to go to YALL West someday, but I don't know if I'll ever actually gt around to it. And, I love listening to classical music while studying! I also put on instrumental scores from movie and tv series, if I want to spice things up. lol!
