I was tagged by the wonderful Ariana @The Quirky Book Nerd to do this tag. Thank you once more! ❤ 🙂 Also, I’m super sorry that it’s taken me this long to do this tag – I’m horrible when it comes to keeping up with them
(I have sooo many that I need to do). Anyway, be sure to check out Ariana’s blog you are missing out if you aren’t following her!
I’m not tagging anyone specific to do this, but if you feel like doing it consider yourself tagged! 😀 With all of that said, let’s get into the questions!
How many books do you usually read at once?
Lately I have only been reading one book at once. Mostly because I have been busy and haven’t had the time to read much at all. Usually I read two to three books at the same time.
If you’re reading more than one book at a time, how do you decide when to switch to reading the other book? (Do you read a certain amount of pages in each?)
It all depends on my mood, as is the case with many things in my reading life. It really depends on what I feel like reading that day.
(The life of a mood reader.) Though I don’t tend to read multiple books each day, rather I stick to one and then read another the next day. (I have no idea if I explained that coherently.)
Do you ever switch bookmarks while you’re part way through a book?
No. Once I pick a bookmark I just stick with it. I don’t see the point of switching it?
Where do you keep the book you’re currently reading?
Usually on my nightstand. I like to read in bed so it’s easiest to keep it there. Plus it motivates me to read in the morning or evening, which is a plus.
What time of day do you spend the most time reading?
Probably in the evening, as that is usually when I have the time to sit down and read. Though it all depends on the day and what I have planned during it
(basically when I’ll have free time).
How long do you typically read for in one go?
Around 15 minutes, I think? I don’t time myself when reading, so I don’t know exactly. Sometimes I read for hours and sometimes just for a few minutes. It all depends on how much time I have during that particular day.
Do you read hard covers with the dust jacket on or off?
Off. It just feels uncomfortable holding a book with the dust jacket. Plus I always fear that I’m going to tear it somehow, so it’s safer to take it off.
Which position do you mainly use to read?
Sitting in a chair/sofa or relaxing in my bed. I just like to be comfortable while reading, I don’t tend to overthink my position.
Do you take the book you’re currently reading with you everywhere you go?
Yes and no. By that I mean it depends on where I’m going. If I’m literary going grocery shopping I don’t take it with me, as I know I’ll be going home soon and I won’t be reading anyway. If I’m going to university or to work, or anywhere else where I’ll spend a lot of time, I definitely take my book with me. There is also the fact that I have my Kindle app on my phone, so I always have at least some books with me.
How often do you update your progress in the book you’re currently reading on Goodreads?
Once I start it and once I finish it. I don’t update the page count at all. There is no particular reason for that
(I’m just lazy and don’t feel like doing it).
