1337+ Followers THANK YOU! 💖

Wow! I have reached the magical number of followers! 💖

It’s a very random one and I don’t know why WordPress thinks it’s an important one? But I’m not complaining! 😂

This is going to be just a short post, as I only wanted to thank all of you for following my blog and supporting me. Usually I add life updates to these kinds of posts, but this time I don’t have things to add. (Mostly because I talk about my life in my monthly wrap ups.) Because of that this post is going to be sweet and short. 😉

When I started my blogging journey years ago I never expected anyone to be interested in my blog. I just wanted to have a place where I could talk about books. And now I have over 1300 people following me. It still doesn’t seem real! I’m so thankful to all of you for talking with me about books and all my other interests. Starting a book blog was one of the best decisions in my life! I have met so many amazing people through blogging and that is something that I’ll forever be thankful for. Once again THANK YOU for everything!

Thank You GIF

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

My Blog is 4 Years Old!?!

My Bookish Dream

Yes, you have read the title of this post correctly. My little blog is 4 year olds today!

Actually, my blogiversary was yesterday but we shall ignore that and pretend it was today (one day doesn’t really make the difference). I blame my headache and BTS for this post being delayed. Basically, yesterday I had a headache and I did nothing productive. I caught up to some booktube videos that I missed during this week of The Reading Rush and many people I follow talked about BTS. So I started researching them a bit and listening to some of their music. I have fallen into a hole and I’m currently watching Run BTS! ep. 30. So there is that as well.

I don’t actually have anything planned for my anniversary, I just wanted to acknowledge it. The reason that I didn’t plan anything is because my mental health hasn’t been the best this past week and I’m quite busy at the moment. (I may do a giveaway in the future, we shall see.)

Thank you everyone for supporting my little blog! ❤

I have met so many amazing people because of blogging in these past four years and I’m forever thankful for that. I can’t imagine my life without blogging anymore, it’s become such an important part of my life. Thank you for everything! (Which sounds like I’m quitting blogging, which isn’t the case!)

How long have you been blogging? Let me know in the comments below!

My Birthday, 1230+ Followers Thank You!! & a little life update

it's been 8GIF

You might have noticed that I disappeared from my blog (and my social media) since the end of April. Or you may have not, since I wasn’t that consistent at posting during the entirety of April. I haven’t even started writing my April Wrap Up, that shows you just how behind on things I am. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back into the flow of things this week!

Me disappearing wasn’t a conscious decision. I just didn’t work on my blog? And I didn’t check my twitter? I seriously have no idea what was going on with me during this time. Especially since my mental health was rather good. My April, on the other hand, wasn’t the best for my mental health (I’ll write more about that in my April Wrap Up). So I might have needed a break? And then I took one without really planning?

What happened in my life during the time I was away?

  • I drove to my hometown, or rather I took the bus since I can’t drive. (The ride took around 9 hours, so there was that.)
  • I celebrated my birthday, which was on the 3rd of May. I’m officially 24 years old. I had a wonderful day, which I spent with some of the most important people in my life.
  • I spent a lot of time with my mom. I have seriously missed spending time with her. My mom is simply amazing!
  • I had two sleepovers with my best friend. I loved hanging out with her again, as it has been ages since we last saw each other in person. We watched two movies and a tv show.

Basically I had an amazing time! May has been a wonderful month for me so far and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Thank you for the 1230+ followers!

I know that that is a random number, but it’s been a while since I have thanked all of you for following my little blog. When I started my blog I didn’t think anyone would be interested in following me. Blogging was just something that I wanted to do for myself, to record my thoughts on the books I read. I never expected that so many people would have been interested in my blog. Thank you everyone!

Thank You GIF

Life & Blog UPDATE || What’s been happening with me and my blog lately?!

Hello it's me GIF

Hello everyone, it’s been a while!

In my last monthly wrap up I mentioned that I was planning on doing a life and blog update. So here is that post! Just be aware that this post is going to be long and full of my ramblings as you would probably expect from an update. (Just wanted to give you a heads up before we start.)

Book Blog

My blogging for the past two months (and the first half of October) hasn’t been the best. Lets be real, I haven’t posted much at all, just a few random posts here and there. I was posting two times per week during the rest of the year (sometimes even more), so this change was quite a drastic one.

So why is that? What has been happening in my life that has prevented me from blogging?

In July I had to hand in two very important papers for university. (One of them was 15 pages long and the other 30.) I also had exams at the end of June and the beginning of July. Needless to say I was very busy during that month and studying and working on the papers was my main priority. I had posts prepared in advance for that month, so my blogging wasn’t too bad in July.

Tired GIF

Then August came and I was just completely drained. I didn’t feel like doing anything at all. And I don’t just mean for blogging, I mean for life in general. Some days I didn’t even feel like getting out of bed. The heat didn’t help either. I’m basically useless when the weather is too hot and August was too hot for me. So it wasn’t the best combination. Plus my mental health wasn’t the best either. (Which I’m not going to go into detail about.)

In September I started preparing for some other exams, that I had at the end of the month and at the beginning of October. I also had work for a few days near the end of the month. Basically I still wasn’t motivated to blog, or do anything really. This past semester of university completely drained me of all energy. Even when I had the time to blog, which wasn’t often, I just never felt like doing it. Plus I wasn’t reading much, and when your blog is primarily about books that isn’t a good thing either. (I just had no inspiration to blog.)

Motivation GIF

October has been a lot better so far! Hopefully it will stay that way. I have a lot more energy now and I feel motivated to do many things, which I’m very happy about. It does help that my mood has been a lot better as well! Plus my mental health has been better as well. The job that I mentioned already, I continued doing in October. Now I’m done with that and I have some more free time! (It was a convention type of deal, so the job was only for a short period of time.)

So that is where I have been and what I have been doing for the past two/three months.

I have just been very busy and didn’t have the time/motivation for blogging. But that is about to change! 😀 I’m feeling very motivated to revive my blog again and to post more often! I also can’t wait to interact with people once more, since I haven’t been doing that lately either. I have missed talking to all of you!

My plans for the future:

  • Post at least two times per week on my blog. This seems manageable, though I’m not setting exact days on which I have to post. Some weeks I might post more than others and I’m completely fine with that.
  • Read a lot more. Due to being as busy as I was (and as unmotivated) my reading suffered as well. Now I’m finally feeling like reading again and I couldn’t be happier!
  • Visit my hometown. I’m going there with my dad this weekend and I’m very exited about that! I haven’t been back home in ages and I’m looking forward to spending a few days with my family.
  • Find a job. I plan on finding another one, since I’m done with the one I just had. I really have no idea what I would like to do, I guess I just have to look and see what is available.
  • Do things for university. I always have stuff to do for university, be it studying or researching or writing. There is always something.
  • Prepare for NaNoWriMo. Yes, I’m participating this year. I plan on making a separate post announcing that and my plan. Here is my profile, if you want to add me as a buddy! 😉

Harry Potter GIF

That is everything for today! I’m just very pleased to be back and to blog again, it feels amazing working on a new post. Let me know how you have been lately! What’s new with you? What amazing books have you read lately? I just want to chat and catch up with all of you!

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

WHAT!? My Blog is 3 Years Old!! || + small Q&A

My Bookish Dream

Yes, you have read correctly! My blog is 3 YEARS OLD now.

My actual blogiversary was on the 27 of July (meaning two days ago), but I wasn’t feeling the best and couldn’t actually finish writing this post in time. So here we are today with it instead! 😀 Also, I created my blog at the beginning of July, but I started posting on the 27th so I’m counting that day for my blogiversary.

Happy GIF

I can’t believe that I have already been blogging for 3 years. When I started my blog I never thought it would become one of my favourite hobbies. Yet here we are 3 years later with over 280 posts. Blogging has become a hobby that I can’t imagine my life without.

I have met amazing people through blogging and made some wonderful friends! I’m forever grateful for that. My blog nearly has 1100 followers, which is insane to me as I never expected people to be interested in my ramblings about books (I started blogging because I was bored and wanted to document my thoughts on books for myself).

Thank you everyone for following my blog and interacting with me here and my other social media sites. You have made my blogging experience so much more special!

Thank you all for these wonderful 3 years!

I Love You All GIF

Q&A Questions and Answers

A few days ago I made a post where I gave people the chance to ask me questions, if they so desired. So here are the answers to those!

Questions from Kat @Life and Other Disasters

1. What is one of your all time favourite blog posts you’ve written?

That’s a really hard question! I have posted over 280 posts in these three years, so picking just one favourite is difficult (as you can probably imagine). A few that particularly stand out to me are:

2. Do you talk about your blog with people in real life? Why or why not?

I do and I don’t. Like I talk to my parents about it and to my best friend, as they are the only people that know I have a blog in the first place. Other than that I don’t tend to mention it. I don’t really have a definite reason as to why I don’t talk about it. Maybe because it’s about books and I don’t know many/any people in real life who are into reading. I just don’t feel like talking about it when I know the other person really isn’t interested in it.

Shrug GIF

3. What’s a skill you would love to acquire if learning it wasn’t an issue (so no time, money or other excuses allowed)?

I have actually two for this one. (Because of course I do.) The first one is VERY unrealistic, the second one a lot more possible (which is why I decided to mention both).

The first is skill that I would love to learn ballet. I have always been fascinated with ballerinas and their abilities to dance so beautifully. Obviously this is the impossible one, as I’m in my 20s and there is no way for me to learn this skill. Though I think this is more of an idealistic thought for me, as ballet is actually very hard and very painful.

The second, and more realistic one, is that I would like to learn to play the piano. The piano is one of my favourite instruments (along with the violin) and I have always wanted to learn it. Sadly I didn’t have the time or money to do that growing up. I might try and actually learn it in the future, when I have more time and money to actually buy an instrument that I can learn/practice with.

4. Which book/TV/movie characters would you invite to a dinner party? Who would be cooking?

I would love to invite the crew from the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo. They are actually the first characters that came to mind when I read this question. Probably because just recently I discussed this duology with a friend. So it’s really fresh in my mind. As for who would be cooking, me I guess? It’s my diner party so I should probably provide the food! (Plus lately I have really enjoyed cooking, so there is that as well.)

Questions from Zoie @Whisked Away by Words

1. When you’re stressed with university stuff, do you still read or do you take a break? If you read during those times, what genre of books do you usually lean towards?

It depends on what kind of stress I’m under. If I’m researching and writing an academic paper I don’t tend to read at all. I spend all the time I have reading and researching books, then actually writing the text so I don’t really feel the desire to read books when I finally have free time. I just want to shut my brain off and relax for a while.

When I’m stressed because I’m studying for exams I do read. Not as much as I do when I have free time, but I try to read at least for 30 minutes each day. As for a genre, I don’t have a specific one. I just read whatever I’m in the mood for at the given moment. Though that is mostly fantasy, as that is what I usually read as well. (And it is my favourite genre.)

2. If you could transport yourself into a bookish world, which book would you choose and why?

My first instinct is to say Harry Potter, but that answer is a rather boring and cliche one as I’m sure everyone would love to live in that world. That’s why I have decided to pick something else!

I would love to go to the world of Percy Jackson. Let’s be real, it’s not the most safe world out there but it is one I could imagine living in. It’s basically our world combined with magic and mythology. And if you know me, then you know how much I adore this series. Plus it would be really fun and exiting to be a demigod (and dangerous, but also fun).

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have an amazing day!

My Birthday, 1000+ Followers THANK YOU!! & New Twitter

Birthday GIF

Today is my birthday! ❤

And I felt like writing a little update post, so here we are. Today was a beautiful day, it was very warm and sunny. That improved my mood drastically! (The past few days weren’t the best.) I ended up spending some time outside with a friend. It was amazing to catch up with her and simply hang out. I also got my birthday gifts in the mail! (One today and two yesterday.) Today has simply been an AMAZING day and I loved every moment of it! 😀

My Bookish Dream

I recently (some time in April) reached 1000 followers on my blog. And at the current moment I have 1020 followers. That’s seriously insane!! I never thought that this many people would be interested in my little blog.

I started my blog because I wanted to record my thoughts on the books I read. I never imagine that it would turn into such an important aspect of my life! (Or that I would end up loving it this much.) I have made so many amazing new friends and I got to share my love for books. Blogging has really changed my life for the better! And you all are the reason for it, so thank you once more!

You're awesome GIF

I made a new twitter!

I had some problems with my previous one, which I don’t really plan on going into detail about. (It wasn’t anything too serious, something just bothered me about it.) So I decided to make a new one! My handle is @MyBookishDream, as is the name of my blog. I plan on being very active over there and sharing all my random thoughts! (Okay, maybe not all of them, but you know what I mean.) So if you are interested in that FOLLOW ME!!

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Blog is 2 YEARS old?! || Celebratory Q&A

2 Year Bloggiversary

Yes, you have read correctly – my little blog is officially 2 years old!!

I seriously can’t believe that it’s been that long since I started blogging. I’m usually not that consistent when it comes to anything, so I’m very surprised that I kept up with my blog for two whole years. Now blogging is something that I can’t imagine my life without.

A few weeks ago I put up a post asking for q&a questions in celebration of my 2nd year Blogiversary. And today I shall be answering all the questions that you asked me!

Thank you sooo much to everyone who submitted questions! ❤

Be sure to check out all their blogs as well.

Q&A Questions and Answers

  • If your life was a book, overall what genre would it be?

The most obvious answer to this would be contemporary, seeing as those books are set in the real world and all that. Honestly I would like to pick magical realism, as it’s usually set in our world with magical elements woven into it. (I just need some magic in my life okay!?)

Kristin @KristinKravesBooks

  • What character is a book/movie/TV show is most like you!?

The first character that came to my mind was Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. She is one of the characters that I most identified with (ignoring the obviously different time we live in). She is headstrong, stubborn, independent and loves reading. And I’m basically all of those as well!

Pride and Prejudice

Lauren @CommaHangover

  • What do you consider your “desert island” book?

LOTRFor me it’s definitely The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. (The whole trilogy in a bind up edition.) They are some of my favourite books and I don’t think I would get bored reading them over and over again. (Depending on how long I have to stay on the island.) Plus, they are rather slow books in the first place so it would take me a while to get through them!!

The other positive is that when (or rather if) I get off the island I will be an expert on The Lord of the Rings and know every detail of it! Not sure how useful that would be, but it would be amazing nonetheless.

Meghan @Meghan’sWhimsicalExplorationsAndReviews

  •  What is a book you would make your enemy read? It could be the worst book you’ve read, or something you think would benefit them, up to you!

Animal Farm

Okay, I don’t think I have any enemies? (Or hopefully I don’t.) But if I did have them, I would make them read Animal Farm by George Orwell.

This is actually one of my favourite books and the one that made me think the most. I think everyone should read it at least once in their life, as the issues addressed in that book can be found in todays society as well. (This book was literary life changing for me.) I would give this to my enemy to read, because I would hope that it would make them think and be more aware of our society and the things they might be doing wrong.

Irena @BooksAndHotTea

  • If you could choose one song as your theme song, which song would it be?

The first song that came to mind was Radioactive by Imagine Dragons. It’s such a random one to come to my mind and I have no idea why I thought of it. But I do love that song and I wouldn’t mind it being my theme song. The second one I thought of was actually Critical Acclaim by Avenged Sevenfold, once again a really random one!

Annie @AnnieLikesWords

  • If you could pick books to turn into a movie and a tv show, which books would you choose and why?

I’m always apprehensive when it comes to adapting a book to a movie or tv show, since there is a good chance that they won’t be good. (We shall ignore that now!) I would love for the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini to be adapted into a tv series. This is kind of a cheat answer since Eragon was adapted into a movie, but it wasn’t that good and they didn’t continue adapting the other books. I would LOVE to see this series as a tv show – I would just love to see the world, the magic, the dragons and everything else! (I’m currently in the middle of the second book and so far I’m loving it!)

  • What makes you start reading a book and what makes you stop?

I’m actually a mood reader, so I don’t have a specific method of choosing my next read. It usually depends on what kind of mood I’m in and what I feel like reading. Do I want to continue reading a series, start a new one, read a standalone. which genre I feel like delving into and so on.

And I don’t usually stop reading books when I start them. If I’m not enjoying a book, or if it’s too boring I will put it down and start another one (as I usually tend to read multiple books at the same time) or I will skim read it. I just don’t like leaving books unfinished once I start them. There are exceptions to that of course, if I completely hate everything about the book (plot, characters, story, world) then I will stop reading it.

Stephanie @TeacherOfYA

  • If you could only read one genre the rest of your life, what would it be?

Without a doubt it would have to be fantasy! Fantasy has always been my favourite genre, ever since I was a child. And seeing how that hasn’t changed in all these years, I’m safe to say that I will always love it and want to read it. Plus fantasy has a variety of sub-genres, so I would have a lot of different options and it wouldn’t be monotonous.

Sophie @BlameChocolate

  • What is your favourite opening line? Can be more than one.

I don’t actually pay that much attention to the opening lines of books, so this one I actually had to think about and look for a while. I have found two that I really like!

“All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.”

—Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina

“There was a hand in the darkness, and it held a knife.”

—Nail Gaiman, The Graveyard Book

  • If all your books had to be one color, which one would you choose?

Okay, this is a really hard one! I’m struggling between white and black books. I LOVE both of those colours on books sooo much and picking one is really hard. I guess I would pick black books, only because I have a white bookshelf and the contrast would look amazing! Plus black is my favourite colour, so there is that as well.

  • Which book have you re-read the most times?

That would definitely be the first four books in the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. I have seriously lost count on how many times I have actually reread these four books. (I have stopped counting at 10. Yes, I know that it’s ridiculous.) I have reread the whole series many times, but the first four books definitely the most. They are my comfort reads and whenever I feel down I tend to reach for one of these books.

Gretchen @ChickNerdReads

  • What is your all time favourite quote? (can be from a book, movie, song, anything!)

My all time favourite quote comes from Vicious by V. E. Schwab. This is one of my all time favourite books and this quote simply resonated with me. Ever since I fist read it, I couldn’t get it out of my mind.

“Plenty of humans were monstrous, and plenty of monsters knew how to play at being human.”
― V.E. Schwab, Vicious

Lucy @Lucy’sLiterature

  • If you could be one character for a chapter of a book and change the choices that character made in that chapter, what character, what chapter, and what choices would you change?

Okay, I will keep this spoiler-free so my answer will be very vague.

The book is Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo and the character is Alina. (As for the chapter I really don’t know which one it is and I don’t have the book with me at the moment to check.) I would change her decision on who to be with. I have read this book years ago and I’m still not over the fact that she didn’t pick the person that I wanted her to be with, so I would definitely change that!

Calliope @CalliopeTheBookGoddess

  • If you could choose one side character from a book for an author to make a novella or book about which character would it be?

I would love for Leigh Bardugo to write a book about Nikolai Lantsov. He is one of my favourite characters from The Grisha trilogy and I would love to read a book (or series) about him. I would love to read about his adventure before the happenings of The Grisha trilogy and see how he got his nickname. Honestly though, I would love any kind of book about Nikolai, no matter the time period that the story takes place in.

Jasmine @HowUsefulItIs

  • What book would you read over and over and not get bored?

Harry PotterWell, the obvious answer would be the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Seeing as I have reread this series over and over without getting bored of it.

So far I have reread this series over 10 times (I stopped counting after the tenth reread actually) and I never got bored of it. There is just something magical about this series and it feels like coming home whenever I read it. So why in the world wouldn’t I reread it then? I actually starting my reread of the first book tomorrow, as it’s Harry’s birthday. 😉

Beth @ReadingEveryNight

  • Outside of your favourite genre (which I guess for you would be fantasy right?) what is the best book you’ve read?

Yes, fantasy is definitely my favourite genre! 😉 I have decided to pick a few book from different genres that I consider to be some of my all time favourites.

  • What is the best discovery you’ve made through blogging; can be a book, something book-related, or anything really?

The best discovery that I made through blogging is the community of book lovers. I love sharing my opinions on the books that I read and talking about them with other people is simply amazing. (Especially since I don’t have friend who read in “real life”.) I have made many amazing friends through blogging and I couldn’t be happier about that! The bookish community is simply wonderful and I’m very happy to be apart of it. ❤

  • Do you have any aims for your third year of blogging?

I do have a few new things that I would like to do on my blog. I would love to start writing discussion posts – and yes, I have been blogging for 2 years now and have never made a discussion post. I also have an idea for a new type of post on my blog, but I can’t go much into detail about it now as I haven’t worked everything out yet. (It isn’t really bookish related though.) And the obvious aim is posting regularly and continuing blogging for another year!

  • Is there any advice you can share that you wish someone had told you when you first started blogging?

I wished someone told me how much time blogging actually takes up. I never imagined I would spend hours working on a single post. I never imagine how much time it would take to reply to all comments, catch up to other peoples blog posts, discover new blogs and everything else that blogging entails. So yes, someone informing me about that beforehand would have been amazing!

  • If you won the lottery what’s the first thing you’d do with your winnings?

This one I didn’t even have to think about, I immediately knew the first thing that I would get: I would buy myself an apartment in Vienna, decorate and furnish it. I’m currently living in Vienna in a student dorm, but I would love to live here in the future as well – so having my own apartment would be freaking amazing!

  • What’s your most anticipated yet-to-be-released book at the moment?

  • What’s your Hogwarts House? (and wand if you have one off Pottermore 😉 )

Harry Potter

Harry Potter

  • Do you have a favourite Disney movie?

My all time favourite Disney movie is Mulan. (Without a doubt, I have seen that movie soooo many times.) But other Disney movies that I love are: Tangled, Beauty and the Beast, Hercules.

  • If you were stranded in any fantasy world- which one would you least like it to be and why?

Honestly most fantasy worlds don’t seem like places I would actually want to be in. I would either be maimed or dead within seconds. The first one that came to my mind, when it comes to fantasy worlds that I would stay clear of, was the world of A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. Lets be real, everyone dies there and I seriously don’t want to be apart of it!

Once again a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who submitted their questions! Without you this post wouldn’t have been possible.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

730+ Followers THANK YOU!! || and an Announcement!

Oh. My. God.
How in the world do I have over 730 followers?!

That’s seriously incredible and I can’t believe that so many of you decided to follow my little blog! Thank you all soooo much! It means the world to me that this many of you would be interested in the things I have to say. I never expected that my blog will ever grow this much. (Which I’m sure everyone says, but it’s true!) I can’t express with words how much this means to me!

(And yes, I had wanted to make this post when I hit 700 followers, but I didn’t have the time to do it then. And when I found the time, I was already at this number! So there is an explanation for the odd number.)

I won’t be as active, as I usually am, for the next few weeks.

As it’s the end of the semester my exams are coming up. They are during the last week of this month. But my studying for them starts today. That means that I will be rather busy for the next few weeks and I won’t have that much time to blog.

For a few months I have kept up with posting at least 2 new posts each week. Now I’m not sure if I will be able do to it. I will do my best, but university and exams are a priority right now, so I will be focusing more on them. That also means that I will probably be late to reply to comments as well, sorry for that in advance. And it also means my interacting with people on their blogs will be slowed down as well. Once again, I will do my best, but I’m not sure how much time I will have to do everything that I want.

Though I’m hopeful that I will have enough time for everything – both study related and blogging related. We shall see how everything goes!

Thank you very much for reading my rambling thoughts and I hope that you have an amazing day!

blog updates

New Twitter & little blog update!

Today’s post is going to be a rather short one, I just wanted to update you on two things!

You might have noticed that my blog has slightly changed! I have simply gotten bored of my previous design so I decided to change it up a bit. Or rather I decided yesterday that I was bored of my previous design and that it needed to change. And, me being me, decided to fix that immediately and ended up staying up late (or rather later than usually) to finish updating it. I’m very happy with the way it looks now!

I have also made a new Twitter @mybookishdream, be sure to follow me there! (If you want that is!) Why did I make a new twitter in the first place? I had some problems with my previous one, which I’m not going to go into detail about. It wasn’t anything serious, just some things bothered me and I decided the best way to fix those problems was simply to delete my old twitter and create a new one. So that’s what I did!

That’s basically everything that I wanted to write about today.

Thank you very much for reading and I hope that you have a wonderful day!

I have become a Book Depository Affiliate!! || I’M BEYOND EXITED!!

Yes, you have read the title of this post right!!

I have become a Book Depository Affiliate!

I’m soooo happy that I got approved for it, I couldn’t be more exited. I’m still not fully comprehending the fact that it actually happened!

You can support me by buying books from My Affiliate Link and there is a button on the side of my blog which you can use as well.

A story about me and The Book Depository!

(As I don’t have much more to say about this announcement.)

When I was around 14 or 15 I wanted to start reading books in English. I have always loved that language and I wanted to improve my knowledge of it (as I felt it could be a lot better than it was), plus there were A TON of books I was interested in that weren’t translated sooo I couldn’t read them. (And who the hell knows when the translations would come out?!)

I’m originally from a small non-English speaking country where it’s nearly impossible to get books in English – either they aren’t being sold or they are over expensive (and I mean two to three times the original amount it cost). Ordering it online was impossible as well, as the shipping costs were simply ridiculous. There’s no way I could afford to buy myself the books I wanted, my family wasn’t poor or anything like that but we wasn’t that well of either. So it was a real struggle getting my hands on the books I wanted to read.

Then I discovered Book Depository and I couldn’t believe that it was real!! As soon as I found out that it has free shipping and that it ships to my country I was over the moon about it! It couldn’t have been more perfect!! Ever since then I have been ordering from the Book Depository, so for over 6 years now. So getting approved as an affiliate for that site still seems unbelievable to me.

Thank you very much for reading! I hope you have a wonderful day.
